Frequently asked questions about floor renovation services.
1. Do you replace original floorboards with seasoned / reclaimed material?
Yes, in our floorboards repairs service we only work with reclaimed pine material, which will reflect age and colour of your existing boards as close as possible.
If the natural colour of the boards is not a good match, we can also adjust it local staining.
2. Do you lift & dispose old flooring?
Yes, with our floor restoration service we can remove and dispose old carpets, tiles, vinyl, laminate or wooden flooring.
3. Do you do re-oiling of wooden floors?
Yes. We provide re-oiling / re-waxing service for wooden floors, with original oil-based finish. We can also do a site visit to assess if the condition is applicable for re-oiling service or if floor sanding and refinishing will be required instead.
Please be prepared with some photos as well, showing the condition of the floors.
4. How many coats of oil are included in your service?
Our sanding and oiling service includes 2 coats of clear hardwax-oil or 1 coat of colour oil followed by 1 coat of clear oil. Ocassionally we can increase the number of coats depending on the timber species we are sealing.
