Before the works...

The teak parquet flooring in this Borehamwood house was looking tired and in timely need of renovation. During our initial survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by itemised quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of teak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we completed this teak parquet flooring renovation...

After our floor sanding technicians have checked all property & service details, they started with lifting the existing carpets and preparing it for disposal to our waste facility.

Parquet flooring comprises of many small wooden blocks forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.

During the teak parquet flooring sanding the timber floors are going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for outstanding results.

Our works included approx. teak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the wood floor sanding process. We aim to apply resin filler in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following morning, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids.

Overall, this floor restoration project in Borehamwood was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
