The teak parquet flooring in this Borehamwood house was looking tired and in timely need of refinishing. During our free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of teak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we carried out this teak parquet flooring restoration...

After our floor restoration team have checked all property & service details, they started with lifting the existing carpets and preparing it for disposal to our waste facility.

Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the teak parquet flooring sanding the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for excellent results.

Our works included approx. teak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the wood floor sanding process. We aim to apply resin filler in the second half of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The putty is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids.

Overall, this floor sanding project in Borehamwood was completed as originally planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
