Before the works...

The oak parquet flooring in this Kensington Property was looking tired and in desperate need of refinishing. During our obligation-free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we carried out this oak parquet flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.

Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our floor men will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the oak parquet flooring restoration the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for perfect results.

Our works included approx. oak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

Overall, this floor renovation project in Kensington was completed as planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
