Teak Mosaic Fingers Parquet Flooring Restoration & Repairs

Before the works...

The teak parquet flooring in this Ealing flat was looking tired and in timely need of renovation. During our initial survey, we did a thorough inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available choices, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of teak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we completed this teak parquet flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to larger pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.

After our floor sanding operatives have checked all property & service details, they started with lifting the existing carpets and preparing it for disposal to our waste facility.

Parquet flooring comprises of many small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our floor men will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the teak parquet flooring renovation the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for perfect results.

Our works included approx. teak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor restoration process. We aim to apply resin filler in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning, if required. The filler is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids.

Overall, this floor sanding project in Ealing was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
