Teak Mosaic Fingers Parquet Flooring Restoration & Repairs

Before the works...

The teak parquet flooring in this Ealing flat was looking tired and in desperate need of refinishing. During our initial survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of teak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we completed this teak parquet flooring restoration...

One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to larger pieces of furniture, which could not be moved out.

After our floor restoration operatives have checked all property & service details, they started with lifting the existing carpets and preparing it for disposal to our waste facility.

Parquet flooring comprises of large quantity of small wooden blocks forming a pattern. Our floor men will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.

During the teak parquet flooring sanding the timber floors are going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for perfect results.

Our works included approx. teak parquet flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply resin filler in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids.

Overall, this floor renovation project in Ealing was completed as scheduled and to the delight of the client.
