The oak parquet flooring in this Thames Ditton Property was looking tired and in timely need of refinishing. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this oak parquet flooring renovation...
One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to larger pieces of furniture, which could not be moved out.
Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our team will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring sanding the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for excellent results.
Our works included approx. oak parquet flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Tover Home Maxi lacquer.
Overall, this floor renovation project in Thames Ditton was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
