Pine Parquet Flooring Restoration

Before the works...

The pine parquet flooring in this Epsom house was looking tired and in timely need of refinishing. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible choices, followed by comprehensive quote with our floor sanding & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of pine parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we completed this pine parquet flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we experienced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.

Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.

During the pine parquet flooring renovation the entire area is going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for perfect results.

Our works included approx. pine parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor restoration process. We aim to apply resin filler in the second half of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.

Overall, this floor restoration project in Epsom was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
