Pine Parquet Flooring Restoration

Before the works...

The pine parquet flooring in this Epsom house was looking tired and in desperate need of refinishing. During our initial survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of pine parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we carried out this pine parquet flooring restoration...

One of the challenges we experienced during this project was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.

Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the pine parquet flooring sanding the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for outstanding results.

Our works included approx. pine parquet flooring floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply resin filler in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids.

Overall, this floor sanding project in Epsom was completed as originally planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
