Before the works...
The merbau parquet flooring in this Kingston Property was looking tired and in serious need of renovation. During our free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible choices, followed by detailed quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for parquet flooring.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of merbau parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we carried out this merbau parquet flooring restoration...
One of the challenges we experienced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.
Parquet flooring comprises of many small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our team will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.
During the merbau parquet flooring sanding the entire area is going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for outstanding results.
Our works included approx. merbau parquet flooring floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.
Overall, this floor restoration project in Kingston was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
